Building Stronger Communities Through Advocacy

Over the past several weeks, TNC Community has had the honor of welcoming four government leaders to our residential homes: Senator Joe Nicola, Representative Kemp Strickler, Senator Maggie Nurrenbern, and Senator Patty Lewis. These visits are an important part of helping policymakers understand the daily lives, needs, and strengths of the individuals we proudly serve.

Each visit included meaningful conversations with our dedicated staff, introductions to the individuals in their districts, and a guided tour of the residence. These moments allowed elected officials to see our mission in action: championing equity and inclusion for individuals with intellectuals with disabilities, inspiring lives of dignity, belonging, and joy.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share how TNC Community provides safe, comfortable, and accessible homes where individuals with IDD can live fulfilling lives with the right resources and support. These conversations also highlighted the importance of high-quality residential services, dedicated staffing, and policies that protect and empower individuals with disabilities.
