The Everyday Heroes of TNC Community

Every September, Direct Support Professional Recognition Week gives us a special opportunity to celebrate the people who are often the heart of what we do: our DSPs.

DSPs provide far more than daily assistance. They build relationships, encourage independence, advocate for individual choice, and help create homes filled with dignity, belonging, and joy. They are often the first to celebrate a success, offer encouragement during challenges, and ensure that every individual receives the support they need to thrive.
This work reflects the very foundation of TNC Community’s core values: Loving Care, Home, Respect, Excellence, and Reliability.

Living Our Core Values Every Day

When we talk about Loving Care, we think about staff who build meaningful relationships and consistently put the needs of individuals first.

One example is Amanda Daily. Although Amanda is relatively new to the team, she has quickly demonstrated initiative, compassion, and a strong work ethic. She consistently completes her documentation, actively supports individuals, and ensures their needs are being met. Amanda’s commitment to providing quality care shows how powerful compassionate support can be.
We also recognize Joyce Dixon. Joyce is a dependable lead staff member who takes pride in her responsibilities. She keeps documentation current, helps maintain a welcoming home environment, and works hard to ensure the ladies she supports feel comfortable, happy, and supported. Her leadership and consistency reflect TNC Community’s commitment to creating homes where individuals can flourish.

Creating a True Sense of Home

Our value of Home reminds us that every individual’s residence is exactly that: their home.

Kylie Hampton exemplifies this value through the care she provides. Kylie goes above and beyond to help the ladies feel confident and cared for, regularly assisting with hair, makeup, and nails. She also remains attentive to health concerns and overall well-being. Through these thoughtful acts of care, Kylie helps create an environment where individuals feel valued and at home.

Pursuing Excellence

Our DSPs consistently pursue Excellence by maintaining high standards of care and ensuring the people we support receive high-1quality services.

Barbara Spencer is an excellent example. Barbara is dedicated to helping the men she supports stay engaged in their community while also paying close attention to their nutritional needs. Her proactive approach and commitment to quality support help individuals live healthier and more fulfilling lives.

A Commitment to Reliability

Perhaps one of the most important qualities of a DSP is Reliability. Individuals depend on their support teams every day, and our staff continually answers that call.

Michael Keti is known for his willingness to help wherever needed. Whether covering shifts, supporting different homes, or assisting individuals through difficult moments, Michael consistently demonstrates patience, flexibility, and dedication. His reliable nature helps ensure that individuals receive the support they need whenever they need it.
