Recap of TNC Community’s 75th Anniversary Celebration

On November 13, 2024, TNC Community proudly celebrated a monumental milestone: 75 years of empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. More than 125 attendees joined us at the Midwest Genealogy Center in Independence, Missouri, to honor our legacy, reflect on our impact, and look forward to an exciting future.

A Day to Remember

The 75th Anniversary luncheon was a celebration of TNC Community’s incredible journey and a heartfelt tribute to the individuals and organizations who have shaped our success. The event highlighted stories of impact, inspiring speeches, and moments of gratitude for those who’ve gone above and beyond to support TNC Community’s mission.

A central part of the event was the presentation of special awards highlighting unique contributions to the growth and success of TNC Community. Champion Awards honored leaders who have championed equity and inclusion for individuals with disabilities, demonstrating unwavering dedication and inspiring meaningful change. Community Partner Awards recognized organizations that have collaborated with TNC Community to create lasting, positive impacts in the lives of those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Lastly, the Legacy Award celebrated long-term service and dedication that has left an indelible mark on TNC Community’s growth and sustainability.

These awards provided an opportunity to reflect on collective efforts that have shaped our journey while celebrating the outstanding achievements of this year’s honorees.

Through Howdy Homemade, we envision working together as a community to break down barriers, create inclusive and equitable employment opportunities, and celebrating the abilities of each individual.
